About us

Coastal Wellbeing

Founded in 2013, Coastal Wellbeing is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Lewes and Newhaven, East Sussex. We specialize in WRAP® (Wellness Recovery Action Planning), along with a range of wellbeing services and professional training.

Coastal Wellbeing was co-founded by Molly Booth and Lucy Tucknott, both experienced, accredited Advanced Level WRAP Facilitators. Molly and Lucy are also qualified person-centred counsellors and members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Our journey

In 2012, the project we had devoted three years of our lives to suddenly came to an end. It was a heart-stopping moment. But it also ignited our determination to continue the work we believe in: supporting people through WRAP.

We first met in 2010 as development workers delivering WRAP through a local charity. We quickly became passionate about this powerful framework, sought out accredited training, and successfully established a programme of WRAP courses, follow-on groups, and one-to-one support in Lewes and Newhaven.

When the charity lost its contract, we faced a tough decision: move on to a different organisation or take a leap of faith and continue the work ourselves. After six months of deliberation, planning, and sleepless nights, we chose the latter.

The decision wasn’t easy, but it was guided by the belief that WRAP has the power to change lives. As Brené Brown writes, “Integrity is choosing courage over comfort.” We embraced courage, launching Coastal Wellbeing in 2013 with a commitment to creating non-judgmental spaces where people can be heard, find their voice, and experience genuine connection.

Today, our core values—integrity, authenticity, and compassion—continue to guide us. WRAP has shaped not only our professional journey but also our personal lives. And when challenges arise, as they often do in running a business, we return to these values, take a deep breath, and leap forward.

Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP)

We’ve been living and working with the WRAP model since 2010, and since founding Coastal Wellbeing, we’ve become accredited Advanced Level WRAP Facilitator trainers/mentors.

With funding from organisations like East Sussex County Council and Hastings & Rother Clinical Commissioning Group, we’ve delivered hundreds of WRAP Seminar I courses to a diverse range of participants. These include carers, individuals in recovery, those managing long-term health conditions, and people focused on mental health and workplace wellbeing.

We’ve also partnered with local organisations to offer bespoke WRAP courses and workshops, helping countless individuals explore options, make positive changes, and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

WRAP Facilitator Training

We are dedicated to providing WRAP Facilitator training to ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from WRAP. As one of the few accredited providers in the UK, we deliver high-quality, values-driven training designed to equip you with the skills to lead WRAP groups and support others on their mental health recovery journey. Whether you’re a professional or simply passionate about WRAP, our training gives you the tools and confidence to make a meaningful impact.

“I love working as a facilitator.  I feel privileged to be part of the process that unfolds for people who participate in WRAP groups as they grow in self-awareness and confidence.  Doing this work has shown me how people can find understanding and connection through sharing their experiences in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment.”

“I love facilitating, I always learn something and seeing each individual grow fills me with hope.  With the right conditions people can explore the tough stuff, enjoy connecting with others, regain control and find the strength and belief within to be themselves and follow their goals and dreams.”
